Interesting article.

Some of the arguments do apply for me as a hobby user with my homelab as well. It really comes down to reliability and maintainability.

You're right, it does go a long way to explaining why FreeBSD is a perfect homelabber OS and also why I keep accumulating FreeBSD servers.,,
